This full-time position is based in our state‑of‑the‑art 24/7 Alarm Monitoring Center. You will function as an Alarm Monitoring Representative on a Mid‑Shift, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule, including holidays and weekends.
As an Alarm Monitoring Representative, you will deliver outstanding service by efficiently responding to alarm signals, managing alarm events, verifying security information, and promptly notifying emergency services such as fire and police agencies while keeping customers informed of events. Your role is analogous to that of a 911 emergency dispatcher, requiring a keen attention to detail and quick, accurate responses, as our focus is life safety.
Yourkey responsibilities include:
- Responding to all incoming alarm signals in our automation software with attention to documented procedures; when necessary, you will call the premises, notify authorities, and reach out to a list of contacts. You will log all information into the automation system immediately and accurately.
- Handling calls via a multi‑line telephone system.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of customer information at all times.
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
- Typing speed of 30+ words per minute; candidates must complete a pre‑hire typing assessment.
- Able to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to perform duties with a high degree of urgency and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- A positive team‑oriented attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Selected candidates will undergo paid training and must pass a final exam to certify their skills as an Alarm Monitoring Representative.
