Full-Time | Experienced Automotive Technician
EXPERIENCED HEAVY LINE TECHNICIAN WANTEDWilly's Transmissions and Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Transmission / Installation Technician to join our team.
We're seeking a skilled automotive technician with a strong mechanical background and heavy line experience who can confidently handle transmission installations, repairs, diagnostics, and related automotive systems.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with diagnostic equipment and hand tools, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform transmission installations, removals, and related repairs
- Diagnose and repair automotive mechanical and electrical systems
- Perform heavy line repairs and general automotive service
- Conduct maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical concerns
- Perform engine and diesel-related repairs as needed
- Properly use hand tools, specialty tools, and shop equipment
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used
- Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards
- Work closely with other technicians and service personnel
- Help maintain an efficient, organized, and professional shop environment
- Heavy line experience required
- Strong automotive mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Transmission experience strongly preferred
- Experience with automotive electrical systems and diagnostics
- Comfortable using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Diesel repair experience is a plus
- ASE Certifications are a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-minded
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
