Prime Healthcare is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join our dedicated surgical team y's Hospital, a trusted provider of advanced, compassionate care in the Kankakee community.
Position Highlights:

Key Responsibilities:
- We staff a suburban acute care emergency room and are looking for a well-trained general surgeon to join us.
- Case mix includes bread and butter general surgery operations along with acute care surgery.
- Current services provided include a broad range of elective general surgery, endoscopy, as well as urgent surgery.
- In-house call not required (60-minute response time).
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery (ABMS or AOA).
- Current and unrestricted Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Current DEA registration.
- Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and communication skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Pay Transparency:
Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $430,000 -$500,000 on an annualized basis.
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
