  • Serve as a positive role model and support the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church at all times.
  • Create a vibrant Catholic culture within the classroom through words, deeds, and actions.
  • Facilitate student success and growth in academics and interpersonal skills.
  • Document student progress, activities, and outcomes.
  • Actively participate in building committees and/or Professional Learning Communities.
  • Utilize available technology to enhance lessons.
  • Differentiated instruction to address specific educational needs of individual students.

  • Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding progress, expectations, and goals.
  • Develop and administer grade‑level high school world language curriculum aligned with diocesan and state goals and objectives.
  • Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small‑group instruction.
  • Develop detailed daily lesson plans and related instructional materials.
  • Translate lesson plans into learning experiences that best utilize available instruction time.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning and modify instructional methods accordingly.
  • Continue to acquire professional knowledge and stay current with developments in education through seminars, workshops, and professional meetings.
  • Organize and maintain accurate record‑keeping, grading, and reporting systems for all student activities, achievements, and attendance per diocesan and school procedures and applicable laws.
  • Encourage parental involvement and ensure effective communication with students and parents.
  • Ensure student conduct aligns with Bishop McNamara Catholic School standards and Diocesan policies.
  • Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed for a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Coordinate with other professional staff members to evaluate and assess curricula.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, PLCs, and school committees.
  • Supervise students during out‑of‑classroom activities, including those involving school transportation.
  • Understand and adhere to all principles and tenets of the Catholic faith.
  • Maintain a lifestyle in full accord with Christian teachings, within and outside the school environment.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy.
  • Knowledge of high school world language curricula and concepts.
  • Fluency and comprehensive proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing, listening).
  • Ability to model correct pronunciation, grammar, and usage for students.
  • Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis procedures, and formulation of action plans.
  • Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
  • Ability to use technology to enhance student learning.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work.
  • Ability to engage in self‑evaluation for performance and professional growth.
