Position: Middle School ELA Teacher 26-27SY
Duties

* Demonstrate qualification and competency with area of assigned instruction.

* Effectively communicate content knowledge and applications in area of assigned instruction.

* Design/implement instruction in compliance with prescribed district curriculum and objectives.

* Utilize instructional tools and apply instructional strategy of current best practice.

* Communicate with parents positively, professionally, and regularly including parent teacher

conferencing.

* Engage students in whole group instruction, small group instruction, and individual instruction.

* Establish/maintain standards of student conduct and control required to achieve full participation in all activities.

* Create/maintain an organized, uncluttered workspace with display emphasis on function and content.

* Engage supervisor cooperatively.

* Engage/interacts with colleagues respectfully.

* Maintain/provide records including, but not limited to the evaluation of student performance, with accuracy and according the timeline requested.

* Engage in professional development.

* Participate in school-wide supervision of students during out of classroom activity.

* Participate in staff meetings, district/school committees.

* Participate in student activities by attending, volunteering, sponsoring, or coaching.

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Credentials:
Valid IL teaching license with proper endorsements

* Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree including coursework to meet credential requirements

* Experience:

Student Teaching, Internship, or Previous Employment in Teaching Position

* Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

* Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.

Salary/Benefits

$41,333 yearly
