The Board of Education of Pembroke Community Consolidated School District #259, Hopkins Park, Illinois is seeking qualified applicants for the position of DIrector of Operations and Accountability. The Board wishes to select a Director who will begin work on July 1, 2026. It is anticipated that the total compensation package will be based on the selected individual's experience and education, as negotiated.
It is expected that the initial contract will be for a multi-year period, as authorized by Illinois statutes.
DUTIES:
The Director of Operations & Accountability is responsible for overseeing key operational systems and supporting instructional effectiveness within the school. The position ensures that transportation, food service, operational procedures, and instructional accountability systems function efficiently and in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. The role also provides instructional coaching and procedural oversight to support teacher effectiveness and consistent implementation of instructional expectations across classrooms.

- has proven abilities in human relations and communications.
- has the ability to maximize financial and human resources in support of educational programs in the district.
- has experience in planning both long-range and short-range district goals with the Board of Education.
- promotes the success of every student by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared by all stakeholders.
- has the ability to successfully apply the legal requirements involved in the administration and management of a public school district, including labor relations and the management of the negotiated contract.
- ISBE Professional Educator License with administrative Endorsement (required)
- Teacher evaluator designation (required)
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership
- Five or more years of demonstrated successful teaching/administrative experience working within the PreK - 8th grade environment (required)
