Substitute Teacher
Substitute teacher applicants need to come to the Moline-Coal Valley Education Center to apply. Bring an Illinois Educator license, a copy of your original college transcripts, a general physical (not more than 90 days old), fingerprint results completed within the last 90 days, and required identification. Office hours are Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m., Friday: 7:30 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m.
- 3:30 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m.
- 3:00 p.m. Fingerprints are completed at the Regional Office of Education, 3561 60th Street, Suite 310, Moline, IL 61265, . There is a fee for this; $64 cash or $67 by credit card (Visa or Master Card). Once all the paperwork is completed, the applicant's name is placed on the Board agenda for approval at the next Board of Education meeting.
There is a Mandated Training Session for all Substitute Teachers, to be completed at the District Office. It is an 8 hour course. Please contact Tonnie Brown at or Sharon Cross at with any questions. Benefits: none. Salary: $120 per day for standard positions, $140 per day for premium positions (same classroom for 10 consecutive days), $150 per day for retired teachers (from any district with documentation).
