Substitute Teacher
Must have valid short-term substitute teacher license issued by ISBE / Must have associates degree or 60 semester hours complete. Must complete a training program approved by the school board valid for sub teaching in all grades of public schools (PreK-12). Valid until June 30, 2023 and may not be renewed. Cannot teach more than 15 consecutive days per licensed teacher.
Substitute teacher pay is subject to the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) Pension Fund. The TRS contribution will show as a 9% deduction on your check. $120/day (1-10 days) $130/day (11-20 days; aggregate, not consecutive) $140/day (21+ days; aggregate, not consecutive) $150/day Long-term
