EL Teacher; Grades K-2

EL Teacher (Primary School Grades K-2)

Requirements:
Professional Educator License (PEL) with a self-contained general education grade range endorsement (ECE B-3 or Elementary K-9, Elementary K-6, or Elementary 1-6) with the following endorsements: ESL or ENL Experience teaching EL students at the elementary school level within the past five years. Student teaching counts as experience. Submission of all required materials via Appli Track Preferred:
Bilingual Endorsement covering the grade range or an ELS (TBE)

Job Goal:
To have students communicate effectively in interpersonal situations; to promote English language proficiency skills by teaching the ability to read, comprehend, interpret, evaluate, and use written material in English.

Salary:
In accordance with Board approved contract salary schedule (check website for additional information).

Conditions of Employment:
1. Employment determined by school calendar.
2. Employment as established by the agreement of the Board of Education and the Maercker Education Association.

Evaluation:
Performance is evaluated regularly by building or central office administration.
