Substitute/Guest Teacher
- Bilingual Spanish (Long-Term)
Enables each child to pursue his education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.
Qualifications:- Certification:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator's or Substitute License registered in Lake County - Education:

- Bachelor's Degree - Experience:

- Spanish fluency

- Spanish fluency with classroom teaching experience
- Planning and Preparation:
Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy, students, and resources. Design coherent instruction and select appropriate instructional activities, and has the ability to assess students learning. - Classroom Environment:
Creates an environment of respect and rapport, establishes a culture for learning, manages classroom procedures, manages students behavior, and has the ability to organize physical space. - Instruction:
Communicates clearly and accurately, uses questioning and discussion techniques, engages students in learning, provides feedback to students, and demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness. - Professional Responsibility:
Reflects on teaching, maintains accurate records, communicates professionally, contributes to the school and district, grows and develops professionally, and shows professionalism. - Technical:
Competent in digital environments; iPads, Chromebooks databases, spreadsheets, publishing software, Microsoft Office, Google applications etc. - Interpersonal:
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, businesses and community. Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Empathetic, humanistic and open-minded. Strong sense of teamwork. Strategic thinker.

Monday through Friday (as needed) - Work Year:
August to June (as needed) - Work Hours:
Varies from 7:15 a.m.
- 3:55 p.m. depending upon building assignment - Salary Range: $130 per day (1-10 days); $210 per day (11 - 60 days); $220 (61+ days)
