Guest Teacher Aides (Substitutes)

The Valley View Public School District is now accepting applications for Guest Teacher Aides (Substitutes). The Guest Teacher Aide is responsible to the building administrators and the Human Resources Department for assisting the teacher in a variety of semi-instructional tasks; to work primarily in a general educational setting providing support to a student or students with significant disabilities within the classroom and around the building;

must be able to assist with communication, scheduling, and modifications of curriculum and student may require toileting, feeding and lifting.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of curriculum materials and instructional techniques Initiative to follow through with assigned tasks Effective communication skills Ability to maneuver students Evidence of a Statement of Approval from the Will County Regional Office of Education to serve as a teacher aide with license registered in Will County, or a teaching certificate registered in Will County
