EMC Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced EMC Test Engineer to perform Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). The design phase is complete, and the primary focus of this role will be on executing EMC tests. While design experience is a plus for troubleshooting test failures, it is not a mandatory requirement. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in EMC testing standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct EMC testing for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in the Danfoss Lab.
• Collaborate with a Power Engineer and occasionally travel to labs in Milwaukee and the UL lab in Northbrook for additional testing.
• Analyze test results and provide insights and recommendations if failures occur.
• Ensure all required EMC testing is completed by the end of the year.
• Document test procedures, results, and necessary improvements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EMC testing.
• Strong expertise in EMC testing procedures and compliance standards.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot EMC test failures, providing potential solutions.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for off-site testing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
