Health Information Manager

We are looking for a dynamic Health Information Manager to oversee our medical records program. This role ensures compliance with regulations, state laws regarding privileged information, and HIPAA standards. You will work closely with administration, physicians, nursing services, revenue cycle teams, third-party payers, and regulatory bodies to maintain the confidentiality, accuracy, and completeness of medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct, plan, and coordinate medical record practices and ensure compliance with IBOH and medical staff bylaws.
• Supervise chart reviews, coding, filing, and data management, ensuring records are accurate and complete.
• Lead the HIM team, building trust through communication and collaboration.
• Work with the HIPAA Privacy Officer, addressing privacy complaints and ensuring compliance with privacy policies.
• Manage scheduling, vendor relations, budgets, and staff training on medical privacy standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree with RHIT or RHIA certification (AMRA continuing education required).
• 1+ year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
