Duane Dean Behavioral Health Center

For over 50 years, Duane Dean Behavioral Health Center has provided substance use treatment, intervention and prevention services to adults who reside in Kankakee, Iroquois counties and throughout east-central Illinois. Working in collaboration with our management organization, Rincon Family Services, since 2017, we have expanded our services to include violence prevention, workforce development, mental health and welcome center services.

Position Description – What the Role Entails
  • Collect urine from patients, following procedures.
  • Monitor patients during the process.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ensure urine is collected and processed on time.
  • Areas of Accountability – What you will be doing
  • Seek, strive for clarity, and effective communication when needed.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner in accordance with policy and procedures for toxicology.
  • Ensure all toxicology steps and the results are appropriately cared for according to policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Be responsible for monthly toxicology billing submission, to be reviewed by supervisor.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Work Environment – What to Expect
  • This is an office job which does not include remote or hybrid settings.
  • Must be able to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • Work 6 days a week Monday – Saturday. Adjustments to hours may occur as necessary.
  • Schedule
  • Standard work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. most days and Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Flexibility within a maximum of 40 hours a week.
  • Occasional work outside normal hours if assisted with outreach or other duties. Hours will be adjusted accordingly.
