Position: HR/People Operations Generalist (Bilingual)

Our Home is seeking a People Operations Generalist to serve as the on‑site owner of core people processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and a positive employee experience across the plant. This role manages payroll readiness, recruiting and onboarding execution, and employee engagement initiatives, while serving as the first line of support for employees and frontline leaders.

You’ll be known as a reliable, approachable People resource on‑site. Your impact will be felt in the day‑to‑day—where payroll runs smoothly, employees are supported, and supervisors have the guidance they need to lead effectively.

Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
  • Ensure a consistent, compliant, and positive experience for all employees.
  • Support recruiting processes, including conducting initial screening interviews and coordinating subsequent interviews.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of pre‑employment and onboarding requirements (e.g., I‑9, documentation) and prepare for Day One.
  • Execute onboarding processes and support orientation logistics.
  • Identify gaps or opportunities to improve the onboarding experience and elevate recommendations.
Payroll Readiness & Timekeeping Ownership
  • Own the execution, accuracy, and timeliness of all site‑level payroll inputs and processes to ensure payroll readiness each cycle.
  • Ensure all timecards are reviewed and approved by leaders prior to payroll deadlines.
  • Monitor weekly payroll timelines and follow up on late approvals or discrepancies.
  • Audit timekeeping data, including attendance points, missed punches, pay codes, and overtime.
  • Confirm schedules are published timely in alignment with company expectations.
  • Partner with supervisors to resolve issues and maintain consistent payroll and attendance practices; elevate risks as needed.
  • Provide weekly summaries to the POBP on payroll readiness, attendance trends, and risks.
Employee Relations & Leader Support
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for routine employee matters.
  • Respond to employee questions on attendance, policies, and HR processes.
  • Handle routine employee relations issues, including attendance and basic documentation.
  • Guide supervisors on consistent policy application and documentation practices.
  • Conduct initial fact gathering and escalation of complex or sensitive issues.
  • Ensure consistency in application of policies across supervisors and shifts.
Employee Engagement & Events
  • Lead execution of site‑level engagement activities in alignment with company initiatives and POBP direction.
  • Plan and execute employee events, recognition, and celebrations based on established strategy and priorities.
  • Manage logistics, vendors, and communication to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintain an engagement calendar aligned with company programs and site needs.
  • Track event spend and manage within budget guidelines.
  • Gather feedback and share insights with the POBP to inform ongoing engagement efforts.
HR Systems & Data Integrity
  • Maintain accurate People data and support reporting.
  • Maintain and audit employee data in HR systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support employees and managers with HRIS questions.
  • Identify trends or inconsistencies and elevate insights.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain employee communication boards and shared spaces to support engagement and communication.
  • Participate in the Safety Committee, and support initial worker’s compensation processes.
  • Support compliance with training completion, policy acknowledgments, and audit readiness.
  • Manage employee related swag inventory and provide monthly depletion reports.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources/People Operations, including exposure to employee relations and core HR employment law and processes.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required; must accurately translate and communicate complex or sensitive information in both languages.
  • Demonstrated judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee, legal, and business information.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
