Mainframe Dev Ops Migration Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Software Change Management (SCM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support application migration projects utilizing IBM DBB, Git, and IDD solutions. The SME will play a key role in guiding clients through Endevor and other SCM-to-DBB/Git/IDD conversion initiatives, providing technical expertise, hands-on migration support, troubleshooting, and training. The ideal candidate will possess a strong z/OS and mainframe background, experience in application development or system programming, and proven customer-facing consulting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support SCM migration projects from Endevor and other legacy SCM platforms to DBB/Git/IDD.
• Articulate a strategic vision for modernizing IBM Git and DBB solutions while demonstrating business value.
• Design and implement Dev Ops pipelines utilizing Git, IBM DBB for intelligent mainframe builds, and automated deployment processes.
• Assess existing SCM workflows and develop migration strategies to Git and IBM DBB.
• Perform installation, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting of DBB, Git, and IDD solutions.
• Analyze, convert, and validate Endevor applications.
• Provide technical support and resolve DBB, Git, IDD, and Wazi-related issues.
• Conduct customer training sessions and create technical training and presentation materials.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Document migration methodologies, best practices, and technical resolutions.

Required

Qualification:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to clearly explain the Git and DBB application lifecycle.
• Strong application development or systems programming experience.
• Proven experience installing and migrating solutions on IBM z/OS and USS environments.
• Excellent customer engagement and consulting skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-determination capabilities related to Git, DBB, IDD, and Wazi.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a Systems Programmer or in a similar technical role.
• 4+ years of customer-facing consulting experience.
• Experience with software development, application lifecycle management, or change management is preferred.
