BIOVIA Solution Architect
Location:
Remote (US) – Travel required every 6–8 weeks
Role Overview: BIOVIA is seeking a Solution Architect to lead architecture for scientific and R&D platforms. This role is responsible for designing scalable, compliant, and reusable BIOVIA-based solutions supporting laboratory informatics, scientific data management, and product lifecycle innovation. The architect will define BIOVIA platform architecture, reusable patterns, integration frameworks, and security/compliance models while leading Architecture Review Board (ARB) governance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define end-to-end architecture across BIOVIA ONE Lab, Pipeline Pilot, ELN, LIMS, and CISPro.
- Design reusable patterns for scientific workflows, ELN/LIMS integrations, and data pipelines.
- Architect integrations with SAP, Snowflake, Service Now, MES, and other enterprise platforms.
- Implement API-led and event-driven integration architectures.
- Define scientific data management strategies and FAIR data principles.
- Ensure compliance with GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
- Lead ARB governance, architecture reviews, and documentation.
- Guide engineering teams and support modernization of legacy laboratory systems.
Mandatory
Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
- 8+ years of solution architecture experience.
- Strong understanding of 3
DEXPERIENCE platform architecture. - Strong experience with Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with BIOVIA platforms (Pipeline Pilot, ELN, LIMS).
- Experience in BIOVIA configuration and customization on latest versions.
- Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and AWS/Azure cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, integrations, and scientific data modeling.
- Experience working in GxP and regulated environments.
- Proven experience leading architecture governance and ARB reviews.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred / Optional
Skills:
- Experience with Dassault Systèmes BIOVIA ecosystem.
- Microsoft Azure cloud experience.
- Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Data Lake, Databricks).
- Knowledge of chemical informatics and laboratory instrument integration.
- Consulting experience in scientific or R&D domains.
