PositionSummary
Operates sifters, airlocks, rollers, and peripheral equipment to ensure production run rates and customer specifications are met. Performs hourly checks on equipment and flow rates, follows company food safety and quality programs, and assists in investigating and correcting any non‑conformance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Keep all air hoses, ladders, tools and other equipment off the floor and stored in an appropriate place.
- Check all systems on a regular basis to keep them running freely and without blockage; inspect and clean all cyclones and bag filters each hour.
- Check all process magnets once per 8‑hour shift and log the check; clean any accumulations and report unusual findings to the supervisor.
- Complete all daily paperwork on time.
- Willing to learn the most current SOPs.
- Communicate with production personnel about equipment issues.
- Primary responsibility in buildings 8 and 8B, also assisting in other areas as needed or directed by supervision.
- Provide product samples and make quality adjustments of products in response to results reported by the Quality Control Lab.
- Clean up the site after job completion to prevent contamination of QT K corn products.
- Report any infestation or contamination to ensure QT K produces and ships a quality product.
- Report all accidents and near‑misses to create a safer work environment.
- Perform safety and sanitation audits with supervisor as required.
- Maintain a clean working area.
- Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Safety conscious and capable of working in a hot environment.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of basic technology in the area of assignment.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Ability to ascend and descend flights of stairs multiple times a day.
- Knowledge of quality, food safety, and safe work procedures.
