Responsibilities- Follow Operating Discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards, and practices to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
- Ensure adequate operating discipline is available for all planned and unplanned activities.
- Operate and field‑check process equipment.
- Monitor process conditions, key performance metrics, equipment, and control systems, making appropriate decisions to maintain or achieve desired rates and conditions aligned with Plant/Site/Business goals.
- Perform scheduled operational and related tasks, as well as tasks arising from resolving unplanned events.
- Collaborate with shift team members and other shift teams to balance workload and ensure assigned tasks are completed by due dates.
- Conduct effective shift relief, as defined in facility‑specific operating discipline and tools, ensuring clear communication and handoff to arriving shift teams.
- Maintain qualification in assigned areas per facility policy and complete training goals in a timely manner.
- Mentor and train new and existing operations personnel on process operation, troubleshooting, and operating discipline, aligning with the plant's training process.
- Perform Immediate Response activities as assigned.
- Initiate and document preliminary investigations according to plant‑specific process criteria and participate in formal and informal Root Cause Investigations for events involved in or requested.
- Track and utilize the plant's key performance metrics on shift to optimize operations and identify improvement opportunities.
- 12‑hour rotating shift

- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required

- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent

- Compliance with a drug‑ and alcohol‑free work environment
- Degree in Chemical Manufacturing, Process Operations, or a related discipline
- Previous experience as a Process Operator, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, and/or Transportation
- Experience operating a forklift
- Lift, push, and pull up to 55 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Work at heights; climb stairs and ladders
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including respirator
- Work in an area of intense or continuous noise
- Work in an area with hazardous materials
- Handle 55‑gallon drums
- Work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
- Computer literacy – proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Troubleshooting – strong analytical skills
- Basic math – adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and algebra
- Communication – strong reading and writing skills
- Collaboration – effective interaction with multiple functions and diverse individuals; strong interpersonal, facilitative, and organizational skills; can communicate with a diverse population across the site
- Organizing, planning, and prioritizing – excellent decision making and prioritization; manages multiple competing priorities; strong work ethic
- Leadership – inspire others and lead through influence
- Plant safety – knowledge of safety measures to prevent accidents and minimize consequences
Annual base salary range: $57,000–$94,920. Overtime compensation is provided under federal and state law (typically 1.5× regular hourly rate). Relocation assistance is not offered.
