Our Home is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer on the 2nd shift. As a packer, you will be responsible for efficiently packing and packaging products according to company standards and customer requirements. This is a 2nd shift position with a typical shift working Monday - Thursday 4:00 p.m.

- 2:00 a.m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Have a working knowledge of all SOPs associated with the packer position.
  • Comply with safety procedures and programs.
  • Maintain the cleaning and sanitation of the production areas and supporting equipment, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices protocols.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for packing protocols for the employees on your shift when management is not present.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Our Home management.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years related experience and training preferred.
  • Attention to detail and self‑starter attitude.
  • Ability to learn and understand the production process.
  • Capacity to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods and work at the pace required to keep up with production demands.
  • Understanding of the food industry and safety standards.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Exceptional grammar, writing, and documentation skills.
  • Teamwork and communication skills required.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
  • Use your hands to handle, feel, reach, stand, bend, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell.
  • Occasionally lift or move 50 lbs.
  • Specific visual capabilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
  • Forklift operation required.
  • All employees must immediately report any food safety, food quality, safety issues, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.
  • All employees must uphold the principles of the SQF Food Safety Code.
