Our Maintenance Mechanic performs routine, emergency and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities.

• Performs routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance
• Works on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities
• Assists in maintaining plant security
• Maintains work area, equipment and tools
• Disposes of waste per company policies
• Assists in plant Self Safety and ASI inspections
• Assists in general plant cleaning and general appearance
• Complies with all OSHA required activities for PIT
• Operates floor scrubber
• Must perform up to 60% of procedures within department
• Complies with all company/department safety rules and procedures

• Ability to read blueprints, sketches and equipment manuals
• Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, building, and vehicle repair
• Experience with pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal) drives: gearbox, belts, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies
• Piping (water and steam)
• Boilers – understanding steam condensate system – tracing, coils, traps, and pumps
• Air compressor system – including filters, regulators, dryers, and lubricators
• HVAC – general knowledge
• Lift truck – electric EE rated, battery and hydraulics
• Strong math aptitude
