Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

RN ED Traveler Position

The RN ED traveler is responsible for providing safe, high-quality emergency care to patients within the Emergency Department. This role involves assessing patient needs, collaborating with physicians, and delivering direct patient care while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ clinical conditions upon arrival and throughout their stay.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients regarding clinical updates and care instructions.
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and discharge procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities and clinical findings.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Proven experience in emergency or telemetry nursing preferred.
• Ability to respond rapidly and accurately to changing patient conditions.
• Strong knowledge of EMTEAL regulations, patient confidentiality, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
