Position Summary
The Quality Manager leads the Quality Control Laboratory and oversees quality programs to ensure products consistently meet company and customer specifications. This role is responsible for laboratory operations, product quality, continuous improvement initiatives, customer complaint resolution, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all quality control and laboratory activities, including testing, batch approvals, and quality documentation. Analyze quality data and product specifications to ensure compliance with established standards. Investigate product quality issues, customer complaints, and rejected batches; implement corrective actions. Maintain and improve quality procedures, records, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs). Lead continuous improvement initiatives using quality management and statistical process control (SPC) tools.
Monitor raw materials and manufacturing processes to proactively identify and resolve quality concerns. Ensure compliance with ISO calibration requirements and company quality standards. Generate quality reports and support quality-related SAP processes and training. Collaborate with Production, Technical, Sales, and Customer Service teams to support product quality and customer satisfaction. Supervise, develop, and evaluate laboratory personnel. Promote and enforce a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Qualifications
Education Bachelor's degree preferred in Chemistry, Quality, Engineering, or a related field. Experience 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with ink quality control and formulation preferred. Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience. Experience with quality systems, SPC methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives. SAP experience preferred. Skills Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
