The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
  • Modify, repair and install all types of machinery and mechanical equipment while observing all applicable CMC Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Perform equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and troubleshoot equipment problems accurately and efficiently
  • Perform repairs on Hydraulic and electrical equipment as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Train to perform industrial mechanical repairs and gain knowledge about hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Work as part of the maintenance team
  • Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on fleet trucks and trailers, including diesel engines, brakes, suspensions and electrical systems
Qualifications
  • Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions, including heat and cold
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to detail and root cause analysis
  • Minimum 2 years preferably in a heavy industrial environment
  • Must be able to communicate technically, orally and written
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of repair and maintenance
  • Safety oriented with leadership skills to perform maintenance duties in a team environment and ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Ability to work overtime as business requires
  • Specific knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
