Position Title: Laborer/Helper – Leaf Crew (Temporary/Seasonal)
Reports to: Operations Manager
Dept/CC: Public Works (DPW)
Hourly Rate: $20.00
Purpose:
The Environmental Services Utility – Department of Public Works division, is seeking help for the fall and winter seasons. This is a 9 to 10-week temporary assignment. This assignment may be extended based on departmental needs. This position involves extensive raking, shoveling snow, lifting and other physical tasks as assigned.
The City of Kankakee is a drug free work place. Prospective employees are required to undergo a pre-employment physical including the successful completion of a drug screen, and criminal background check.
Qualifications:- All applicants must be a minimum 17 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Employee Assistance Program
- Worker’s Compensation Insurance
- Scheduled Hours
- Monday thru Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; overtime as assigned
