Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Social Worker License
• Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Experience in school settings with middle and/or high school students is preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect social-emotional support to students in middle and high school
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
• Assess and address the social, behavioral, and emotional needs of students
• Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions, focusing on student well-being and development
• Mentor and support a dedicated team of interns, guiding their professional growth and ensuring consistent, high-quality student services
• Participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and other multidisciplinary teams as needed
• Promote a culture of acceptance and understanding throughout the school community
