Sr. Software Eng - Java/Springboot

Work location:

MN/IL/CA/TX/NJ/NY (remote candidates will be considered but will be lower in priorities)

Work hours:

7 AM - 3 PM CST

MRCP is an initiative to re-engineer existing capabilities on couple of critical & complicated platforms & then build a new cloud native, microservice architect based product set.

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?

• Support design, delivery, Dev Ops, testing & automation
• Develop & deliver technical solutions to meet business requirements
• Implements coding practices consistent with defined conventions
• Unit, Integration & Regression testing & test automation.
• Share delivery status & actively participate in various scrum ceremonies. (Planning, Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review and Retrospectives)
• Assists in developing standardized work processes, tools, and methodologies that improve quality and profitability
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Providing accurate and timely estimates for technical tasks.
• Comply to company policies & processes

Responsibilities

• Java Engineer supporting delivery, Dev Ops & application support

Candidate must have 3-5 years of Java/Springboot, cloud based development & CI/CD experience. Strong communication skills;
Flexible to learn & support varied team responsibilities

What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)?

Experience with REST & GRAPH APIs, JENKINS, GIT, Gradle, Sonarqube, Contrast, Kafka, MySQL, MongoDB, Cucumber/Selenium, JPA or JDBC, Dockers, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, Prometheus, Grafana, SPLUNK;
Experience in Agile implementations

Required Skills:

1. 3-5 years of Java/Springboot, 2. cloud based development & CI/CD experience.
