NC State University is hiring a UTS
- Temporary Web Designer at UNC Chapel Hill. The role involves completing development, implementing content and design updates, troubleshooting, and preparing a Word Press website for launch. The designer will collaborate with OIRPA staff to ensure a user-friendly and accessible site, applying expertise in HTML, CSS, and possibly Markdown.

• Complete and launch a Word Press-based office website, focusing on development, content updates, and troubleshooting.
• Utilize strong front-end web development skills, including HTML and CSS.
• Collaborate with OIRPA staff to address website needs and maintain accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with Gutenberg block editor, Word Press themes, and plugins is beneficial.
• Experience with digital accessibility guidelines such as W3C standards and WCAG 2.1 is required.
• Preferred skills include Markdown, Git-based version control (Git Hub/Git Lab), Pandoc, command-line tools, APIs, and programming languages like Python or JavaScript.
• Minimum qualifications:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in a related field and proven web design experience.
• Compensation is approximately $50 per hour.
• Work schedule:
  
  Full-time Monday-Friday until October 9th, then part-time (~15 hours/week) through December 1; the role is remote but requires North Carolina residency.
