As a 6th grade teacher, you will develop lesson plans consistent with CSUSA’s guidelines, establish effective rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge for an effective educational foundation.

You Will Impact Education
  • Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the company’s philosophy, goals, and objectives.
  • Make purposeful lesson plans that maximize learning time and engagement.
  • Present subject matter clearly, providing real‑world, application‑based examples.
  • Review student records to understand each student’s abilities and needs, and maintain accurate records.
  • Strive to maximize educational achievement for each student.
  • Utilize a range of learning modalities and differentiated instruction within lessons.
  • Apply diagnostic assessments frequently, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assess student strengths and weaknesses regularly, provide appropriate activities, and generate progress reports.
  • Refer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnel, assign lessons, correct work, and review oral presentations.
  • Coordinate field trips as required.
  • Prepare students for state‑required achievement assessments.
  • Keep current in subject‑matter knowledge and learning theory, sharing knowledge to improve curriculum.
  • Assist in ongoing curriculum revision, including written courses of study, and in selecting books, equipment, and instructional materials.
  • Become acquainted with supplemental services beneficial to students as an extension of regular classroom activities.
Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning
  • Create a learning environment appropriate to students’ maturity and interests.
  • Maintain positive rapport with students, demonstrating patience and nurturing growth.
  • Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and showcases student work; enforce relevant conduct policies.
  • Develop reasonable rules in accordance with CSUSA policy and maintain order fairly and consistently.
Instructional Planning
  • Develop consistent lesson plans aligned with guidelines and goals.
  • Plan individual and group learning activities that meet objectives and student needs.
  • Prepare for assigned classes and demonstrate preparation when requested.
  • Collaborate with staff in curriculum planning meetings.
  • Incorporate diagnostic information as required in students’ Individual Education Plans.
  • Take necessary precautions to protect supplies, equipment, and materials needed for instruction.
School/Community Relations
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and positively with parents via appropriate channels.
  • Cooperate with administration and fellow staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records.
  • Participate in parent communication activities.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture and provide student and staff support, as required.
