Production Manager, Industrial Maintenance

This is a full-time, on-site Supervisor role for our 3rd Shift operations at Double O Plastics in Kannapolis, NC. The Supervisor will oversee and manage production activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met. Key responsibilities include coordinating daily production schedules, supervising team members, monitoring equipment, ensuring adherence to company protocols, maintaining accurate records, and addressing any production challenges that arise.
The role requires collaborative leadership to foster a productive and safe work environment while meeting production objectives.
- Leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including injection molding and production scheduling
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with strong analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure clear team coordination
- Experience in quality assurance, safety procedures, and operational efficiency improvements
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related software; familiarity with production management systems is a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or an associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
- Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable
- Startup and manage 10-12 injection molding machines while continuously reviewing parts during the shift
- Follow and enforce all safety rules
- Use the production schedule to assign tasks and priorities during the shift
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly processes
- Review and record production numbers
- Assist in mold and equipment setup, employee training and quality control as needed
- Minimum 2 years plastics manufacturing experience
- Strong troubleshooting and time management skills
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills
- Team-oriented and self-directed
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Required to operate forklift and overhead crane (on-site licensing/training)
- Good work-life balance: 8‑hour day shift with 2 Saturdays/month

- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Will hopefully have: 2 years supervising experience, 4 years injection molding experience
