Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency DepartmentWhere You Will Work: Atrium Health Kannapolis, a facility of Atrium Health Cabarrus, delivers comprehensive 24‑hour emergency medical services to Kannapolis and surrounding communities, providing high‑quality care for patients of all ages—from minor injuries such as fractures and lacerations to life‑threatening conditions including heart attacks and strokes. The department is staffed by board‑certified emergency medicine physicians and supported by on‑site respiratory therapists with an expanded scope of practice to ensure advanced clinical support.
The unit features 12 monitored beds and 5 vertical care spaces designed to optimize patient flow and efficiency, along with fully integrated on‑site radiology and laboratory services. As part of the broader Atrium Health system, the facility is backed by the expertise and resources of Carolinas Medical Center, the region’s only Level I Trauma Center, ensuring seamless access to the highest level of specialized care when needed.
Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- At least 6 months of RN experience; this position is not for new graduates
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of Critical Care (ED, ICU) experience preferred
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
