Food Scientist

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.

-4:30 p.m.

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Food Scientist I will support the Food Science Lab and assist with product development activities from initial concept through scale-up. This role will conduct product trials and studies while ensuring work meets company and regulatory standards.

• Assist with developing and mixing wet and dry formulas.
• Support raw material sourcing and maintain ingredient and formulation databases.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and stability studies.
• Collect, document, analyze, and interpret data.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient laboratory.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, records, and quality programs.
• Complete additional laboratory duties as assigned.

• Associate degree in a science-related field with at least two years of laboratory experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in a research, food manufacturing, or nutraceutical environment preferred.
• Experience with product formulation, process specifications, scale-up, sensory testing, or stability studies preferred.
• Familiarity with Genesis or other food formulation software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
