Company SummaryA well-established and growing manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join its team. This organization is part of a larger global platform and is known for delivering high-quality products and operational excellence. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for cost of sales, inventory costing, perpetual inventory valuation, project tracking, and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications- Manage and analyze daily work orders, partnering with operations to resolve discrepancies and improve accuracy
- Maintain accurate product costing, including inventory valuation and general ledger alignment
- Perform variance analysis (including PPV) and provide insights into cost drivers and performance
- Lead monthly close activities related to cost accounting, including journal entries and P&L support
- Oversee standard cost updates, project cost tracking, and reporting to support leadership decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
