Senior Accounts Payable Specialist - CONTRACT

The Senior AP Specialist oversees the full-cycle Accounts Payable process
, supports Senior Accounting Administrators, and ensures daily accounting activities are accurate and efficient. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume invoice processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This project will be 3-6 months to cover a leave with pay starting at $25/hour and going up based one experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the full-cycle AP process.
• Review, code, and process vendor invoices using Sage
• Verify invoice details, cost allocations, and three-way matches.
• Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Mentor and train team members on AP systems and document management.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and GL account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and audit activities

Qualifications
:

• High school diploma.
• 1–3 years of AP, bookkeeping, or accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and chart of accounts.
• Excel and Sage
