Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc. known as a leading provider of complex, comprehensive industrial services is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager at our Kansas City location. This position requires a self‑motivated individual to perform the detailed planning and scheduling of construction work and ensure that the project is constructed safely and in accordance with all design, budget, and schedule requirements.

• This individual will be responsible for the detailed planning and scheduling of the electrical work to which they are assigned.
• Estimating, detailed material take‑offs, sizing of conduit, and wiring per NEC, and procurement of field material.
• Integrate multiple engineering information packages and develop construction plans and other deliverables for the field and supervision.
• Reviewing engineering information packages for constructability and completeness.
• Ensures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned jobs.
• Develops a plan for completion of all work orders, including an estimate of the labor required and a listing of the parts or materials needed.
• Specifies tools and special equipment necessary for completion of the work order.
• Developing detailed construction plans and other deliverables for the field and supervision.
• Work with Procurement, Engineering and outside suppliers as required to order all parts and materials required to complete any given task and lists them in the work order plan.
• Participates in planning detailed shutdown and turnaround work.
• Orderly flow of the work order system ensuring all work requested by the customer is completed on a timely basis as indicated by the work priority.
• Work closely with other Construction Managers to ensure job is running as a unit toward a common goal.
• Direct interface with Owner & Engineers.
• Responsible for Construction Cost Management including change orders for jobs they are responsible for.
• Subcontractor bid package writing.

• The ideal candidate should have a B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management, with 2 to 3 years of Industrial Construction experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Understanding of LEAN principles preferred.
  
  OSHA 10 & 30 Training preferred.
• Capable of handling multiple projects.
• Collaboration and team building skills.
• Problem solving & negotiating skills.
