Job Summary
Provide overall technical management on assigned project from bid preparation through final acceptance by client. Supervise total construction effort, coordinate on-site functions, manage craft employees, ensure compliance with design, codes, budget, schedule, safety and quality. Travel locally or overnight and drive as required.
Responsibilities- Manage project from bid to final acceptance.
- Supervise construction to ensure adherence to design, electrical codes, standards, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborate with clients and owner representatives.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and administrative staff direction).
- Supervise craft employees and other contractors as required.
- Ensure timely completion of all project documentation (correspondence, billing, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, schedules).
- Investigate and mitigate potential project impacts, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide technical assistance – interpretations of drawings and recommendations of construction methods and equipment.
- Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issue change orders.
- Ensure productivity of crafts, efficient use of material and equipment, and contractual performance.
- Enforce company safety initiatives and investigate, report, and correct safety incidents.
- Provide cost estimating, progress budgeting, change-order pricing, and cost forecasting for low-voltage projects.
- Travel locally or overnight; driving required.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, usually from a four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of construction management experience with emphasis on low-voltage projects.
- 3+ years of Integrated Systems experience (fire alarm, voice/data, fiber optics, building automation, audio‑visual, CCTV, access control, intrusion, distributed antenna).
- 3+ years of experience in technology, equipment, methods; craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules, safety.
- RCDD certification.
- Familiarity with Accubid estimating software.
- System design capability in voice/data, fire alarm, security, and CCTV.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule and budget.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience.
