Non-hourly by contract with a monthly stipendThe Heartland District of LCMC is seeking a District Ministry Coordinator to serve as a pastoral leader and point of connection among churches, pastors, and lay leaders. This role focuses on Gospel-centered ministry support, communication, and relational encouragement across the region.
Purpose
Bear witness to the Gospel, which is:
Sinners are put right by God through faith alone in Jesus Christ
Resist corruption of the Gospel
Serve and support fellow congregations in their ministry of proclaiming this Gospel.
Serve as primary contact for the Heartland District.
Attend District Council meetings, the LCMC Annual Gathering, and LCMC District Coordinator meetings.
Maintain relationships with pastors, churches, and leaders across the District.
Encourage the formation of neighborhood groups and new ministry networks.
Support churches in pastoral transitions, including connecting call coaches, conflict coaches, and providing training/resources.
Promote worship, prayer, and study of Scripture and Lutheran confessions.
Organize the Heartland District Annual Gathering and other ministry events.
Visit and preach at congregations upon request.
Maintain a collaborative working relationship with the Heartland District Connections Coordinator.
Accountable to the Heartland District Council.

QualificationsLCMC pastoral certification (or willingness to become certified)
Reside in or near Nebraska or Kansas
Subscribe to the LCMC Statement of Faith and Pastoral Admonition, including the characteristic practices of the sacraments in the Lutheran tradition, as well as the Heartland District Statement of Faith (District Constitution, Article
2)Ministry gifts in the areas of communication, encouragement, and connection.
