Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support the educational and emotional needs of students in a Kansas City, KS school setting. This contract position involves working closely with educators, parents, and students to provide psychological assessments, develop intervention strategies, and support the overall well-being of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide counseling and support services to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.

Desired Qualifications and

Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working within school settings to support student mental health and academic success.
  • Knowledge of psychological testing tools and techniques.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Understanding of special education laws and procedures.
