Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools is actively recruiting career changers who have an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in the following subjects:
English, Math, Science, Engineering, Computer Technology/Information Systems, Accounting/Finance, Spanish, Business, or other content areas to become teachers through the Kansas City, Kansas Teaching Fellows program. The Kansas City, Kansas Teaching Fellows program allows you to obtain a Master of Science in Education from an accredited alternative certified program that will allow you to teach within our school district in accordance with the rules established by the Kansas State Department of Education guidelines for alternative certification teaching programs.

Completed applications, with all required documents, will be considered from Friday, January 16, 2026, through Thursday, April 30, 2026. At this time, we are unable to sponsor international applicants for the KCK Fellows program.

Deadline for Receiving Applications – Thursday, April 30, 2026
Mandatory Documents (applications are not considered until all documents are received).
- This form gives FHSU permission to release your transcript analysis results with the alternative certification programs advisor with KCKPS.
Attach your resume, purpose letter, transcripts, and three letters of recommendation to your application - you will need three references, including at least one current or previous supervisor and two colleagues.
