EHS Coordinator

The EHS Coordinator drives the site's safety, health, and environmental compliance, championing a zero‑incident culture. This role manages all EHS regulatory programs, administers the Workers' Compensation process, and serves as the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Representative.

Core Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs); facilitate the Joint EHS Committee; and ensure strict compliance with OSHA/CSA standards.
  • Maintain the ISO 14001 system; manage all required environmental permits, reporting, and documentation; and coordinate the storage and disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
  • Develop and deliver mandatory EHS training for all employees (including new hires); and coordinate emergency response procedures and drills.
  • Administer the site's Workers’ Compensation program, ensuring accurate tracking and recordkeeping for all cases.
  • Ensure all EHS recordkeeping and regulatory reporting requirements are met.
  • Provide EHS input on new processes and analyze data to drive continual improvement in workplace safety metrics.
Essential Qualifications
  • Education:

    A degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • EHS Knowledge:
    Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA (or state/provincial standards) and ISO 14001.
  • Skills:

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience:

    Knowledge of and experience administering a Workers’ Compensation program.
  • Canadian Operations:
    Must possess or complete WSIB/IAPA Part I & Part II Certification Training.
  • Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 / Year.
