Position Summary / Career InterestThe Neuromonitoring Specialist II (IONM) Intraoperative Neuromonitoring is responsible for the performance of high-quality patient care monitoring and the successful use of biomedical technology as ordered and prescribed by the attending surgeon or physician.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Performs procedures, recording, analyzing and diagnosing various physiological monitoring functions, with the variety of devices, equipment or techniques.
- Demonstrates leadership by performing advanced skill set level cases, including but not limited to, cortical mapping and phase reversal, peripheral nerve, D wave monitoring or auditory brainstem implants and other complex monitoring cases as needed.
- Facilitates processes to maintain successful inventory levels and cost-effective practice of supply management by team members; including supportive strategies for cost-containment.
- Demonstrates abilities and competencies in performing procedures, recording, analyzing and diagnosing various physiological monitoring functions, with the following devices, equipment or techniques:
Modalities may include EEG, EP, NCS, EMG, SSEP, TCMEP, A , cortical mapping, phase reversal, D wave monitoring. - Intra Operative Neuro Monitoring (IONM) and data analysis.

- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Education and Experience
- High School Graduate
- 1 or more years of professional experience in (IONM) intraoperative neuromonitoring
Education and Experience
- Associates Degree
- Bachelors Degree
- Previous mentorship experience as a lead neurodiagnostic tech, lead EEG tech educator, preceptor or QA IOM case auditor or related experience
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Certification for Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) - American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
- Related Neurodiagnostic Credentials (R.EEGt, R.EPt, R.NCSt/EMG)
- Must be able to do basic algebraic equations and measurements.
- Windows and Microsoft Office skills
