HumanResources Specialist - Recruiting Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations for both exempt and nonexempt positions.
- Execute sourcing strategy (internal and external) to build candidate pipelines and support college recruiting initiatives.
- Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS), including candidate activity tracking, internal transfer coordination, and offer letter preparation.
- Provide information and interpretation of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws to management and team members.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare reports regarding employment-related matters and labor compliance.
- Conduct team member orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive new hire experience.
- Coordinate team member engagement activities, recognition programs, and health and benefits events.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide high-level internal customer service to support team member HR inquiries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients to achieve staffing goals.
- Assists team members with troubleshooting minor technology or system issues specific to the shared services systems, and escalates unresolved issues within established timelines.
- Performs general administrative office duties, including but not limited to: scheduling meetings, creating agendas, taking minutes, and creating forms and other documents.
- Performs other job related duties as requested.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) years of human resources experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HR concepts, policies, procedures, and employment law compliance.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work varied hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
