Desktop Engineer

Summary

The Desktop Engineer will provide frontline support for end‑user devices and assist with maintaining a stable, secure, and standardized Endpoint environment. This role will focus on resolving daily technical issues, supporting device operations, and ensuring a consistent user experience across the organization under the guidance of the Desktop Engineering Team.

• Monitor and manage the Endpoint Support Ticket Queue throughout the day.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and resolve common desktop and device‑related issues.
• Record detailed notes on diagnostics and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Identify recurring technical patterns and report trends for process improvement.
• Support Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices across the enterprise.
• Assist with new hire onboarding including device provisioning and VPN set‑up.
• Troubleshoot operating system, application, connectivity, and authentication issues.
• Provide both remote and onsite user assistance with clear, professional communication.
• Support device preparation and software installation activities.
• Assist with validation and quality checks for new system builds.
• Troubleshoot deployment or update failures within Endpoint management tools.

• Experience supporting Windows desktop environments.
• Familiarity with macOS, iOS, and Android device support.
• Basic understanding of endpoint management tools (SCCM or Microsoft Endpoint Manager).
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and incident management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to escalat​e appropriately and work within a structured support team.
