Selby Jennings is partnering with a national insurance organization to identify a Network Administrator who will play a key role in managing and securing both on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure. This is a hands-on opportunity for a technically skilled professional to support critical systems and drive network performance across a multi-site enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco and Meraki switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Implement network security best practices and enforce cybersecurity policies.
- Maintain network segmentation, VPN access, and compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
- Configure and secure cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Collaborate with IT teams to support servers, wireless networks, and cloud integrations.
- Maintain accurate network documentation and follow formal change control procedures.
- Respond to and resolve network outages or security incidents.
- Develop and test network backup, recovery, and failover plans.
- Provide tier-3 network support to helpdesk and IT staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration in enterprise or multi-site environments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
- Proven troubleshooting skills and experience resolving complex network issues.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds, Nagios, PRTG).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Palo Alto certifications (e.g., Network Security Professional or Cybersecurity Practitioner).
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, Meraki CMNA).
- Experience with deep packet inspection and traffic analysis (e.g., Wireshark).
- Basic scripting and automation experience (Python, Power Shell).
- Experience integrating network security appliances and wireless access points.
