Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Kansas City, KS, for a Law Enforcement Officer. The Law Enforcement Officer will ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and school property. Responsibilities include enforcing laws and school policies, responding to incidents and emergencies, conducting criminal investigations, and maintaining a visible presence on school grounds. Additionally, the officer will build relationships with students and staff, promote a safe school environment, and collaborate with local law enforcement when needed.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of law and experience in law enforcement and police officer duties
- Proficiency in conducting criminal investigations and enforcing regulations
- Expertise in maintaining physical security and implementing safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, staff, and community members
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, make sound decisions, and handle emergency situations effectively
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred
- Completion of law enforcement academy training and state certification is required
- Prior experience in school‑based law enforcement is a plus
