Reporting to a Senior Business Manager or Director, this position is responsible for the overall management of a single account with limited categories and limited team functions or a key category or categories within a larger account in the brokerage business.

This role will have responsibilities within the execution of strategic plans, business plans, budgeting, and hiring.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve budgeted goals for area of accountability.
  • Perform, coordinate and lead analysis and development of marketing plans, product promotions, advertising, in‑store displays, merchandising strategies and inventory forecasting.
  • Ensure execution of the LAMP framework to identify critical initiatives and relationships, and work with the team to lay out short‑ and long‑term plans.
  • Demonstrate functional expertise in Private Brand and Branding through on‑the‑job development, educational and networking opportunities.
  • Execute new strategic initiatives for the account or assigned categories.
  • Support the account team in the development of sales plans and negotiate supplier commission rates to grow category or team revenue.
  • Collaborate and partner with marketing resources, both internal and external.
  • Manage supplier relationships, obtain alignment and deliver mutually established goals.
  • Develop and retain key talent; motivate and inspire team members to deliver on agreed metrics; ensure succession plans for critical roles.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional work experience in building and nurturing brands; private brand management experience a plus.
  • Dry grocery/center store experience required.
  • Private brand/private label experience highly preferred.
  • Wholesale experience preferred over retail experience.
  • Ability to contribute to setting and achieving budgets.
  • Good grasp of product development, marketing, retail, category management, new item development and logistics.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, web browsers).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conflict management, decision‑making and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically.
