Job Title
Typical responsibilities include stacking filled trays of bread or bakery products onto pallets or carts. Keeping the production line supplied with clean trays. Removing damaged trays or defective products. Assisting with the tray washer and tray handling equipment. Monitoring product quality and reporting any defects or machine issues. Maintaining a clean work area and following sanitation procedures. Following GMP, HACCP, SQF, and all food safety and workplace safety rules.
Assisting with production line changeovers and other duties as assigned.
Common qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Ability to stand for 10–12 hour shifts. Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Basic math and communication skills. Forklift experience is a plus but is often not required.
The job is physically demanding and typically involves frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling. Working around moving machinery. Rotating between different packaging and tray-handling tasks. Overtime, weekends, and shift work depending on production needs.
