WELDING SUPERVISOR (Night Shift)
TALLASSEE AREA

Position Summary: The Night Shift Welding Supervisor oversees all welding and fabrication activities during the overnight shift, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. This role leads a team of welders and fabricators, drives efficiency, and ensures smooth shift operations with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate night shift welding operations across assigned production areas
  • Lead, train, and support welders to ensure consistent workmanship and adherence to specifications
  • Monitor workflow, production schedules, and staffing to meet nightly output targets
  • Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements; promote a strong safety culture
  • Inspect weld quality and ensure compliance with drawings, codes, and customer standards
  • Troubleshoot welding issues, equipment problems, and production bottlenecks in real time
  • Coordinate with day shift leadership for seamless shift handoffs and communication
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and incident reports
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred)
  • 3–7+ years of welding/fabrication experience, with supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and welding safety practices
Work Environment
  • Industrial fabrication or manufacturing setting
  • Exposure to heat, noise, fumes, and heavy equipment
  • Night shift hours (typically 8–12 hour shifts) with occasional overtime
