Job Description

Position Summary:

The Evaluation Intern is responsible for providing general support to the Evaluation team and International Programs staff by assisting with the implementation of data collection systems and program evaluations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Analyze Data:
    Conduct data entry, data cleaning, and preliminary analysis to support evaluation and reporting efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Evaluation Team:
    Participate in team meetings and planning activities to contribute to shared evaluation goals.
  • Develop Data Collection Tools:
    Build and maintain data collection instruments using platforms such as Survey Monkey, Kobo Toolbox, and Microsoft Forms.
  • Support Special Projects:
    Assist with special projects and additional tasks as assigned to meet organizational needs.

    Qualifications and

    Experience:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Current students pursuing a Bachelor's degree or in-progress Master's degree with coursework in research methods, evaluation, international studies, development, or another social science field.
    • Coursework or hands-on experience in data collection, dataset configuration, and basic statistics; experience with survey tools and/or statistical software a plus.
    • Moderate to advanced computer skills in a Windows environment, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, openness to new ideas, and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.
    • Demonstrates strong accuracy, organization, and the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and basic procedure documentation.
    • Nonprofit or international experience, as well as bilingual fluency in Spanish/English or other relevant languages, is a plus.
