This contract position offers an opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg/PCU to provide high-quality patient care. The role is based in Kansas City, KS, and involves working within a dynamic healthcare setting supporting medical-surgical and progressive care unit patients.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in medical-surgical and progressive care unit settings.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions as appropriate.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to healthcare protocols and policies.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in medical-surgical and/or progressive care nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle complex patient needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and follow established care plans.

Schedule and Requirements:

• Approximately 36 hours per week.
• Shift hours from 18:45 to 07:15.
• No on-call requirements.
• Weekend shifts scheduled every third weekend.
• Float assignment within Med Surg/PCU areas.
